Japanese Postcards: Pachimon Kaijū

The term Pachimon includes various Japanese postcards, playing cards, and trading cards, highly prized in the 1960s and early 1970s, depicting imitations of famous cinema monsters such as Godzilla, Gamera, or Mothra: the kaijū.


This series, published by Yokopro (ヨコプロ), features monsters invading historic cities and monuments: London, Rome, Paris, Moscow, Hawaii, Pyramids of Giza, Taj Mahal, Mount Rushmore....
